Senior and Staff Level EHS Consultant Positions in Austin, TX
We are currently seeking experienced and qualified individuals who understand OSHA rules, regulations and standards as they apply to general industry and construction activities, and are able to apply this knowledge to train and consult with our customer base. Ideally, the individual also possesses environmental compliance experience as it relates to hazardous waste management/RCRA, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, and Air Permit rules & regulations. DOT compliance experience would also be beneficial.
Staff Level Experience and Skill Requirements:
o Minimum 10 years of EHS experience in commercial or heavy industrial construction and/or general industry
o 4 year safety related degree strongly preferred, but not necessary
o Minimum of 5 years of EHS training experience
o Industrial Hygiene experience preferred
o Extensive understanding of OSHA 1926, 1910 and 1904 standards and ability to apply them as needed to fill customer needs
o Proficient with use of Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and Access
o Professional appearance and attitude with demonstrated “educational approach” to safety compliance
o Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
o Prefer bi-lingual (Spanish).
Project Work Incudes:
o Conducting project, site and operational safety audits and reporting/recommendations
o Developing/Creating safety programs per customer requirements
o Conduct regularly scheduled safety training to customer employees and contractors
Senior Level Consultant Experience and Skill Requirements:
o 4 year B.S. degree in EHS, or related field, from an accredited 4 year university.
o Graduate degree in EHS strongly preferred
o Minimum 15-20 years of EHS compliance experience
o Minimum 5 years of experience as a 3rd party consultant
o Minimum 5 years of experience managing staff level consultants
o Industrial Hygiene experience
o The following certifications are strongly preferred: CSP &/or CIH or related
o Extensive understanding of OSHA, EPA/TCEQ, and DOT rules and regulations as they apply to general industry and construction.
Candidates must live in the Austin area or be willing to relocate.
